The Noehren's

Easter morning we drove home to be reunited with Brian.  We found that he had been a very busy easter bunny.  He had the back yard all ready for an easter egg hunt, including hidden easter baskets.  The kids loved it.  We surveyed the easter candy and found 11 chocolate easter bunnies.  I guess that's what you get when you visit both sets of grandparents easter weekend!  We'll give them a happy home...in our tummies :) Brian planned and prepared an awesome easter dinner, including roasted turkey breast, rolls, fruit salad, glazed carrots, and even a pie from the Lion House Cookbook.  I love my chef/husband!!  I didn't even set the table, and he cleaned up most of the mess.  After, we ate roasted peeps.   "I'm burning! This week I was lucky enough to travel to most of the places I have ever called home - Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and West Virginia.  As I put on facebook - it was 7 days, 9 states, 30 hours of travel time and 17 family members visited.  It was awesome! On our way to DC we swung through Lexington, Virginia and saw our first home and did a fun surprise drop in on some friends.  Haley didn't have any memories, so it was fun to show her where she was born and where I would walk for hours with her in her stroller.  Then we headed to DC to visit my sister Jan and her family and their new house in Alexandria. We rode the metro and saw some sites:  My kids were glued to their cousin's many fun electronic devices!  Haley loved having a sleepover with Abby each night.  I heard lots of giggles and memories being made.  Then we headed up good 'ole 95 and swung by our second home in Delaware.  As expected Grant had zero memories of ...

A few weekends ago, Brian ran the Bluegrass Half Marathon.  It started and ended at Keenland, and was filled with a zillion hills inbetween.  He did great, especially with severe muscle cramps in his thigh from mile 8 to the finish. Here he is approaching the finish line.  Finished!  The kids ran a mile fun run and did great too!  Go Haley, Go!  Here is Grant in the blue shorts jogging up the hill. It's only a matter of years before we have a true Team Noehren marathon relay!
