Friday, I attended the Mother's Day Tea at Grant's preschool.  It was adorable.  They sang and had a brief lunch, mainly consisting of cheese puffs.  They made cute corsages and made us nice things.  I can't believe this sweet boy only has 1 more week of preschool!  Then it's off to big boy school! Later that night, the boys headed off for the father/son campout and us girls headed out for a movie and ice cream.  It was such a great weekend.

Last weekend we drove over to our old stomping grounds, Lexington, Virginia to celebrate something special!  Our awesome friends, the Clarks, adopted a beautiful baby girl nearly a year ago and the final legal adoption process was just completed!  It was a special weekend and we were able to be there for Gabby's blessing in church that Sunday.  Of coarse I was too excited to take any pictures, so I had to steal this one off of facebook.  They are such a beautiful family. We also visited the craziest place on earth - the Virginia Safarri Park.  You can drive through and feed all sorts of animals from your car.  It is nuts!  Our car was covered in animal slobber and we laughed our heads off as we tried to get buffalo, zebra, emus, camel's heads out of our car.  There is nothing quite like looking eye to eye with these huge animals.  I swear this place shouldn't be legal, but man - I love it.  Best zoo EVER!  We ate at our fav...

Lately, Grant's ever-so-loved blankie has been getting daily holes as the near 6 year old threads have gotten thinner and thinner.  After fixing many holes I decided it might be time to retire blankie (made by Great Grandma Williams) and introduce a new blankie look-a-like.  After getting Grant's approval, we took a few pictures of blankie and emailed them to my go-to gal for these type things: my mom.  Here is blankie #1  ...and about a week later blankie #2 arrived! Grant is a happy boy - and instead of retiring blankie #1, he has decided to carry both around instead!  Thank goodness for talented grandma's that can come to the rescue!!
