Science Center & Niagara Falls
Brian took this picture of a bridge competition that was going on at the conference center. That is a lot of bridge players!
While Brian was conferencing, we ventured out in our car to the Science Center across town. It was awesome! We loved the interactive displays and things to do. It was way, way fun.
This frog is the cutest, saddest, frog I've ever seen. He was so adorable.
Haley loves turtles!
We tried some Pizza Pizza for lunch in the cafeteria. Not bad!
This wooden slide was awesome in their little forest. Grant went flying down it like a rocket. Once he didn't get his footing right to stop and he kept on flying. It was sooo funny. He had a little bum rash from the slide, but was okay.
What a good sister...picking out the mulch from Grant's shorts after he went flying off the slide. hahaha.
After finding so many good deals at the outdoorsy place the night before, I decided we needed to find a Costco and let the 25% off games continue. We found a local Costco and it was bonkers busy. It was a Saturday...but it was a sea of people in every single direction. Oddly enough, I think we were the only white people there. It was so cool to be a minority - there were people from I think every nationality there.
It was so fun to wander and see what was the same/different in their Costco. We bought a few things (a winter coat for Grant, winter slippers for me etc.) and then got hung up at the registers. Canadian Costco only takes Master Card. Really??? Yes. I couldn't use my debit either. I only have Visa or AmEx, so they sent me to an ATM. But the ATM was out of order. I had to think long and hard how much I really wanted my stuff, and then decided for them to hold it and I drove to a gas station to get Canadian cash, came back and then paid for my loot. No regrets! I'm so happy with all we bought.
The food there was different too. Poutin is a thing...not our thing...but the fries minus the gravy were super yummy!
Haley was great at navigating me with my random notes back into the city. It was a fun day out in the suburbs.
The next day, we checked out and headed home through Niagara Falls, since we never did see the Canadian side last year when we went. We parked and roamed around for about 30 minutes and then kept on driving home. It was beautiful!

View of the American falls.
Even though it was a work trip for Brian, we were still able to see him a decent amount in the evenings.. We had a great time seeing a new city and going to a different country! This year, we've gone to Honduras, Belize, Mexico, and Canada all without passports for the kids! The cards just kinda fell that way this year and probably won't fall that way again for many, many years, if ever. They are such awesome little travelers and it is such a blessing to be able to go so many places.
