The Boys

I keep forgetting to post the pictures from Grant and Brian's first Father/Son campout a few weekends ago...so here goes! The camera didn't get packed, so they stopped and bought an old school film one on the way - so they are a little grainey. How did we ever survive before digital pictures??? They had a great time at Laurel Lake with tons of other dads and their sons from the ward.
Grant is ready to go!

The Boys! (someday Grant will learn to smile normal, right?)

The tent is up! It's the same tent that Brian and his dad used to camp in together with.

This one of my tired boy cracks me up! It was 11:30 p.m. - only about 4 hours past his bedtime!

I'm going to throw in another random video (again, mostly for the grandparents!) of Grant's Monday ritual...greeting all 3 trash trucks that come each week. We've almost lived here a year and he is out there every week in the rain, snow, wind, and sun. I felt a little funny videoing the trash man - but had to catch it on camera since it is such a big part of our day each week. Grant says he likes to watch the "grabber" open and close to see how it works and dumps the stuff. I swear he's an engineer in the making!

that trash day ritual is the most adorable thing I've seen all day. What a cute kid you have. I bet he makes the trash man's day with his little wave! Love it.
That video is so cute!! That is a cute little ritual. :) I have to say, I'm impressed you got ANY pictures from the campout!! That never happens for me. (Poor Grant at 11:30!) As for your question about Grant eventually smiling normally, yeah, it will happen. :) I think most kids go through a funny-smile phase. (For mine it was freaky-smile, mostly.) Elin's oldest daughter went through a phase when she was 2 where she would smile beautifully and then CLOSE HER EYES (because she didn't like the flash). So all her pictures from age 2 to age 3 have her eyes closed! ha

The video of Grant is just so cute. He does love his garbage trucks. His dad had always been a truck man. We thought he's be some kind of truck man when he grew up. But at the age of 3 he told me he was going to be a Doctor. So I guess he was right. I happy that they managed to get some pictures of their camping trip and that the tent has now been used by 3 generations of Noehren men.
Love you guys

Love the camping pictures. So cute that Grant waits every week for the garbage man. I'm sure the workers look forward to seeing him as well!

Very nice pictures, Ang! That's cool that it's the same tent that Brian and his dad used to go camping in. Grant is so-o-o-o cute. I love the shot of cute sleepy Grant.

Hey--does anyone know why all your videos you post always say "Video not currently available. Try again later."? I haven't been able to see them.

I loved the video of Grant and the garbage truck! I don't blame Grant for being interested--I was fascinated myself. And of course, Grant is adorable.
