Connecticut

Brian had a conference in Boston, so we decided to tag along and make a road trip out of it since school was out.  It was so fun!  We drove through West Virginia on our way up and made a quick stop off the highway to show the kids the little stream where their folks got married 16 years ago.  It is a funny little place, but who cares!  Our love is still going strong and that is what counts.
We hiked around at Rocky Gap State Park in Maryland for a bit to stretch the legs.

After a night in Pennsylvania, we headed for Connecticut.  First stop was the Danbury Stew Leonard's.  Brian's family loves this place.  It a fun supermarket with yummy ice cream cones!
Then we met up with Brian's sister Michelle and our niece Lillian.  It was so fun to get together!  Lillian was just a baby last time I saw her!  Now she is an adorable 5 year old getting ready for Kindergarten.  Our craziness made her shy at first, but the cousins slowly warmed up to each other.  It warms my heart to see cousins playing together.
We had fun at a beautiful park in Manchester.

Then we went to Pepe's  - the best pizza place ever!  So glad I didn't have to drive to New Haven and wait in line for it either!
The next morning, on our way to Boston, we were so happy to spend some time with Brian's aunt Janice and his Grandma Noehren in Tolland.  Grandma is 95 and looking great!  The kids enjoyed asking questions about what Papa (Brian's dad) was like as a kid and getting to know their great grandma better.  What a special visit!
