Back to School

We had a such a fun summer and a really fun week!  Our close friends from Virginia, the Clarks, were in town for a conference so we got to hang out with them a few nights AND my parents swung through town on their way back from out West for a night.  How fun!  And to top it off, summer has officially ended since Haley started 2nd grade this past Wednesday.  She had a good day, but doesn't know many people in her new class.  We've been working on getting our shy Haley to bust out of her shell and not rely on other girls to do her social networking for her!  I'm sure by next week she'll have 22 new bff's.

Since it was about 250 degrees outside we decided to head over the bowling alley with the Clarks for some after school fun.  It was the kids' first time bowling and they loved it.  What's not to love when you are using bumpers and a metal ramp?  Sadly to say, even us adults barely broke 100...and yes, that is WITH bumpers.  Hahaha!
The bowling alley is also conviently located next to the best donut shop in town - so luckily we were able to quickly replenish all of those calories from the strenuous bowling!

That sounds so fun (and I'm glad your parents stopped by--I was in UT when they were and it was fun to see them). I have to admit, I love bowling with kids because then I "have to" use the bumpers, too. :)
